Ashley Bankhead dreamed of being an author since she was a kid, but it wasn’t until college, when she took a creative writing course, that she realized she wanted to write picture books. Her first picture book, THIS IS A GHOST STORY, illustrated by Enrico Lorenzi, will be published with Doubleday Books for Young Readers in summer of 2027. Ashley lives in Idaho with her husband, four kids, and her chocolate lab. When she is not writing, you can find her reading, baking, and traveling with her family.
