“The place where craft connects community.”

First Lines Critique

Authors understand we must grab our readers’ attention in the first few lines of our writing. In this episode you can follow along with the brave writers who submitted the first lines of their work in progress (WIP) to be critiqued. We discussed the opening lines of these projects and shared tips and encouragement of how to make each piece better.

We’re delighted to have editor and writing coach Larry J. Leech II with us again to provide his feedback based on forty years of publishing experience.

Larry J. Leech II, who usually has a beverage in his hand, is also the Acquisitions Editor and Master Book Coach at Illumify Media. Connect with him at https://larryleech.com.
