However, some publishers produce only Christian materials. These publishers are often not reviewed or announced in standard industry journals such as Publishers Weekly or School Library Journal, but they are frequently featured in ECPA (Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, ECPA.org) news and bulletins. Many are listed below with links to their submission pages.

A WORD OF CAUTION
None of the publishers listed below is a hybrid publisher (where authors pay some or all of the publishing or marketing costs), but some do have imprints that operate on a hybrid model. Others offer editing services or manuscript-listing services for a fee. Be very careful about paying money for any service unless you fully understand what is being offered and have determined that it aligns with your goals.

Once again, often an agent is the best/only way to submit. However, editors from these houses frequently attend Christian conferences and will be glad to meet one-on-one to hear a pitch or advise on next steps. So next month will feature Christian Writing conferences that are helpful to children’s writers.
Robin Currie is the recent winner of a 2026 SELAH award, 2nd place in picture books, for Just Enough Room for Christmas, at the Blue Ridge Christian Writers Conference.
