Novelists Unwind Welcomes Susie Finkbeiner and Beth White

July 26, 2019

History, snooping, and Jello salad.

Susie Finkbeiner admits to snooping in her parents’ things as a child. And what she found there inspired her, years later, to write her newest novel, All Manner of Things, a Vietnam Era historical that explores how a family clings to hope in the midst of grief. But our interview is full of laughter, not tears. We talk about Susie’s “bird dress,” taking photos on a railroad track with an audience of groundhogs, and the 60s-era Jello Salad craze.

Peacocks, ice houses, and Elvis!

Award-winning author Beth White shares how her latest series, The Daughtry House Series, was inspired by the historic Waverly Plantation and Elvis’s birthplace. We also talk about the Pinkerton Detective Agency and the fun she had writing the detective memoirs written by the agency’s founder.

The next Novelists Unwind Giveaway will be announced on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at http://www.novelistsunwind.com. Be sure to enter for your chance to win a print edition of an amazing inspirational novel.
